Sarah recently watched the film ‘Mrs Lowry & Son’ starring Vanessa Redgrave and Timothy Spall; a behind the front door almost ‘theatre piece’ about their lives; his genius and her dominance. The acting was superb, and what came across loud and clear to the viewer was that for L.S. Lowry ALL his art was all about painting his feelings; sadly something which his Mother didn’t appear to understand however it’s a concept that many artists connect with, including Sarah.
