Heartbroken is off to a new home, it’s always been a favourite of mine and I’m happy to know it is giving pleasure and meaning to others. It’s proved popular at the exhibition and received quite a lot of comments in the book.

Selling art is a joy and a pleasure, and as a former journalist I feel it’s akin to hitting the deadline and moving on to write the next piece. I’ve lived with a lot of these pictures over the last two years and know them intimately. It’s very satisfying to know that others love them too.

The rest of the series can be seen here online and at Rural Arts in Thirsk until 4pm May 20th. Open 10 to 4, Tuesday to Saturdays.
